BIOGRAPHY
Prof. Dr. Christian Kille, born 1972, studied electrical engineering at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg. With finalizing the diploma thesis in 1999, he started as a scientific assistant at the Fraunhofer SCS. From 2007, he headed the own developed business field “Market Analysis” at the Fraunhofer SCS.
In 2010, he finished his dissertation on logistics markets and their quantification at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg. Since 1st April 2011, he is professor for retail logistics and operations management at the University for Applied Science Würzburg-Schweinfurt. There, he is the head of the bachelor program “Business Administration”, with nearly 2,000 students the largest of the University.
Besides his lectures at the University and its MBA program, he is guest lecturer at TUM. Since 2011, he is scientific advisor of the Fraunhofer SCS and market expert of the German BVL. In 2013, he was appointed as a member of the juries “Logistics Hall of Fame” and “Logix – German Logistics Real Estate Award”. In 2014, he and Markus Meißner founded the initiative “Gipfel der Logistikweisen” under the patronage of Dorothee Bär, parliamentary state secretary of the German Federal Ministry for Traffic and Digital Infrastructure.
His core competences are quantifying and analyzing logistics markets with focus on retail logistics, logistics properties and logistics services. He is also an author of the several studies and books as well as articles (refer to publication list).
