Prof. Dr. Roland Fischer

Since the start of the winter semester 2025/26, Prof. Dr. Roland Fischer has been a professor to the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics at Hof University. He is Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

Roland Fischer studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, specialising in production management and manufacturing technology, and completed his doctorate in logistics and wireless technologies. At Fraunhofer, he was Managing Director of the Supply Chain Services working group, after which he was responsible for the Risk & Location Analysis department at Fraunhofer IIS, which conducts research into civil security issues. Prior to his academic career, Fischer was a partner in Auer und Fischer Zweiradhandel GbR.
