The 3-week Introduction to the German Engineering module in Germany offers students a unique opportunity to broaden their global perspective.

The experience includes visits to the main TUM campus, cross-cultural exchanges with German faculty and students, and exposure to industry best practices via educational site visits. This immersive learning experience provides students with a chance to interact with experts in the field and deepen their understanding of the international electronics and semiconductor manufacturing industry landscape.

申请资格

Applicants to the Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Data Engineering must meet the academic and English language requirements set by the Technical University of Munich and the Singapore Institute of Technology. Admission is assessed based on applicants’ academic background, relevant preparation in engineering disciplines, and supporting documentation.

POLYTECHNIC DIPLOMAS

Diploma holders from any of the five local polytechnics and A Level / IB Diploma graduates are welcome to apply. Applicants with Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering and IT, or closely related Science and Technology diplomas are strongly encouraged to apply. Students with 其他文凭（完成相当于A-Levels的正规12年教育）的学生也有资格申请。

SINGAPORE GCE A-LEVELS

Applicants with the Singapore-Cambridge A-Level qualification must meet the following requirements:

A total of 7 subjects.
4 Advanced Level subjects, including 3 subjects at H2 level, and 1 subject at H1 level. There must be at least 4 independent general education subjects obtained in the same sitting.
Candidates must have taken at least 1 H2 mathematics and 1 H2 Science subject (Biology, Chemistry or Physics).
Obtained a pass in General Paper (GP) of Knowledge & Inquiry (KI) in the same sitting, while satisfying Mother Tongue Language (MTL)* requirement.

In general, applicants presenting Singapore-Cambridge A-Level results are not required to submit the A-Level certificate during the application. However, for the SIT-TUM programme, it is mandatory to submit the O-Level and A-Level transcripts during the application, and the transcripts, School Graduation Certificate, and other documents during matriculation. More details will be shared with incoming students.

*GCE A-Level/IB Applicants need to fulfil the language requirements as stipulated by the German Higher Education System.

*GCE A-Level applicants must have taken 2 language subjects, out of which 1 must be at H1level to fulfil the language requirements stipulated by the German Higher Education System. The same language taken at both A-Level and O-Level is not acceptable. If you have been exempted from taking MTL for your GCE A-Level, you can retake the subject to fulfil the language requirement.

INTERNATIONAL GCE A-LEVELS

Applicants must present at least three independent A-Level subjects with a minimum grade of C in each subject.

Of these, 2 subjects must be chosen as follows: a language, history, geography, social studies/politics, economics, mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, computer science according to “→List A: General-education A level subjects that meet the basic requirements” (subject 1 and subject 2, possibly subject 3)

The third subject is a further general education subject, independent of the two subjects chosen above, this can come from ” → List A “or ” → List B: General education A level subjects that meet the basic requirements.

INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE

申请者必须满足以下要求：

The IB must be obtained after attending at least twelve uninterrupted (continuous) years of full-time education. The 6 examination subject taken must conform to IB conditions stipulated by the German Higher Education System:

2 languages, with at least 1 as advanced foreign language (English subject can be considered as one of the 2 Language requirement)
1 Science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) in SL or HL
1 Mathematics subject in HL
1 Social Science Subject (History, Geography, Economics, Psychology, Philosophy, Social Anthropology, Business and Management, Global Politics)
The 6^th compulsory subject, in addition to the subjects mentioned, may be one of the following: Art/Design, Music, Theatre Arts; Movie, Literature and Performance, further foreign language, Latin, Classical Greek, General Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Environmental Systems7, Computer Science, Design Technology, World Religions, Sports exercise and Health Science
Of the 6 subjects, 3 have to be Higher Level (HL) subjects, and 3 in Standard Level (SL). The HL must contain one Mathematics subject.
All subjects must be taken uninterruptedly (continuously), over two years

CHINA GAOKAO

Applicants must have completed 12 years of schooling and obtained a Senior High School Graduation Certificate. Students who graduated from high school in 2019 or later must achieve at least 70% of the maximum score in the National College Entrance Examination (Gaokao).
Applicants are also required to submit their Senior High School transcripts, Huikao results, proof of English language proficiency, and their CV, passport and APS certificate. Notarised English translations may be required.
At the application stage, applicants who have not yet completed Senior High School may initially submit their Year 1 and Year 2 academic results, proof of the national secondary school leaving examination (Huikao) with notarised English translations, a copy of passport, and CV.

INDIA QUALIFICATION

Applicants with Indian qualifications are required to submit:

Official India CBSE Class 12 and Grade 10 transcripts
Official JEE Main and JEE Advanced results

INDONESIA QUALIFICATION

Applicants with Indonesia qualifications are required to submit:

Official certificate and transcripts for Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA), (Madrasah Aliyah (MA)) (since year 2020/21) for the current study field and related subjects upon proof of 2 successful academic years (Sarjana 1), or
Official certificate and transcripts for – Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA), (Madrasah Aliyah (MA)) (since year 2020/21) AND results of University Entrance Examination “Ujian Tulis Berbaris Komputer – Seleksi Nasional Berdasarkan Tes (UTBK-SNBT))” (minimum result average grade 500) for the current study field and related subjects upon proof of 1 successful academic year (Sarjana 1)

英文语言能力

Applicants who studied in a non-English-speaking country must submit one of the following:

A Medium of Instruction letter confirming that the programme was taught entirely in English, or
IELTS Academic with a minimum overall score of 6.5, or
TOEFL with a minimum score of 88

IELTS and TOEFL results must be valid and taken within two years at the time of application. An English subject taken in school is not sufficient proof of English proficiency and cannot replace the required IELTS or TOEFL scores.

APS Certificate

Applicants with qualifications from China, India and Vietnam are required to obtain an APS certificate.
