Falling Walls Lab is a global pitch competition that brings together an interdisciplinary community of students, researchers, and early-career professionals to present breakthrough ideas in just 3 minutes.
Across the world, leading academic institutions host local Labs, where outstanding talents compete for a place at the Global Finale in Berlin. Each year, only 100 winners worldwide are selected to advance – joining the prestigious Falling Walls Science Summit, gaining exposure to Germany’s research ecosystem, and competing for the Breakthrough Winner in the Emerging Talents category.
In 2025 alone, over 2,750 applicants participated across 82 Labs in 60 countries, a testament to the programme’s global reach and impact.
Now, it’s Singapore’s turn. Jointly organised by German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and Technical University of Munich (TUM) Asia, the Singapore Lab will take place on 3 September 2026.
Which wall will your research break?
Step onto the stage and pitch your idea in just three minutes, a breakthrough that can shape science and society.
Win the Singapore Lab and earn a fully sponsored trip to Berlin to represent your idea on the global stage.
Application Deadline
Please note that application closes on 26 July 2026.
