THE HYPERLOOP CONCEPT
“From Munich to Berlin in half an hour, that is the vision for the future of mobility.”
The Hyperloop is a new transportation concept that allows Pods to travel through low-pressure tubes at the speed of sound. The idea was first introduced in 2013 by Elon Musk, founder of PayPal, Tesla Motors, and SpaceX. The annual SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition challenges student teams from around the world to invent their own Hyperloop prototype and then race it against the other teams in the SpaceX Hyperloop Test Track.

WARR Hyperloop was founded by students of the Technical University of Munich in 2015. Completely student-organised and relying entirely on unpaid, voluntary work of motivated students from various TUM faculties, the team runs on sponsors that have donated more than 500,000 Euro to the project.
TWO-TIME WINNER OF THE WORLD’S FASTEST POD
The WARR Hyperloop team won both previous competitions and set a world record for the fastest Hyperloop run at the time in August 2017. They will be taking part in the third SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition in 2018 and aims at continuing its success of winning.

The presentations are open to all and aim to inspire students with the possibilities of entrepreneurial success, even on a student-level. The Hyperloop team will be able to share valuable experience and insights on assembling a full student-volunteer team, crowdfunding for over half a million Euros, and to building the actual pods that has set two world-records in the presence of Elon Musk. Their innovative journey is remarkable and the Hyperloop concept is on track to change the way we travel from city to city.
