Singapore [8 May 2025] – To commemorate 60 years of strong diplomatic ties between Singapore and Germany, the Singapore campus of the Technical University of Munich (TUM Asia) is pleased to launch the Singapore-Germany Jubilee 60 Scholarship, covering 60% of tuition fees for eligible Master’s students from both nations for the upcoming August 2025 intake.
This one-time initiative honours the close partnership between the two countries – built on shared values in innovation, education, and industry collaboration – and supports the next generation of global leaders who will continue this legacy.
“For over two decades, TUM Asia has been a bridge between Germany and Singapore in higher education,” said Dr Markus Wächter, Managing Director at TUM Asia. “This scholarship recognises not only 60 years of diplomatic friendship but also the value of cross-cultural learning. We’re proud to support students from both countries as they develop the skills to lead in an increasingly globalised world.”
TUM Asia was established in Singapore in 2002 as the first overseas campus of a German university, with the mission of offering world-class German engineering and applied science education in Asia. It continues to be a symbol of the strong academic and technological cooperation between the two nations.
