INDUSTRY 4.0 DINNER TALK 2019
The move towards Industry 4.0 will bring about rapid technology advancements, change the nature of work and increase the demand for a skilled workforce. Thailand, being the second largest manufacturer in ASEAN will see an incremental growth of US$50 billion (1.6 trillion baht) for its manufacturing sector in terms of productivity gains in 2028 by embracing Industry 4.0 technologies, according to a study by Cisco and A.T. Kearney. While Industry 4.0 technologies presents new opportunities for businesses, the importance of developing a skilled labour to address the challenges of Industry 4.0 cannot be ignored.
Together with the support of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Bangkok, Thailand – the “Industry 4.0: Impact on Technology and Workforce” Dinner Talk is an exclusive initiative started by TUM Asia and FESTO whose objective is to raise awareness and cultivate interaction within the industry, academic and political landscape to exchange expertise and knowledge.
