Professional Certificates (Aerospace Engineering)

The Professional Certificate in Aerospace Engineering, offered by TUM Asia, provides a flexible pathway for professionals to upskill in key areas of aerospace science and technology. Designed and taught by experts from TUM, Germany’s leading technical university, the course integrates theoretical foundations with practical applications in areas such as aeronautics, flight mechanics, control systems, safety, and additive manufacturing.

Participants can choose and complete individual modules based on their interests, earning a Professional Certificate for each. Those seeking to advance further can stack selected modules towards a Graduate Diploma or ultimately a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering, awarded by TUM (Germany’s #1 university and top in the EU, QS Rankings 2026).

For individuals and professionals working in the aerospace sector, as well as those seeking to upskill or transition into this specialised field.

Certification

Participants will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance (Professional Certificate) for each completed module, issued by TUM Asia. 

  • Attending the written examination is optional for those pursuing the Professional Certificate.
  • Participants who take the examination will receive a TUM Asia transcript with the corresponding grade. 
  • A Certificate of Attendance will be issued to participants who meet the minimum attendance requirement of 75%.

 

Stack Your Modules to a Higher Qualification

Modules are stackable towards a Graduate Diploma in Flight Control Systems. Participants who complete all six modules will earn the Graduate Diploma, which can also be stacked towards a TUM’s 航空工程理学硕士.

The module is an introduction to additive manufacturing and focuses on additive manufacturing technologies for both polymers and metals. The entire process chain of additive manufacturing is discussed, including feedstock materials, part design, production processes, monitoring, post-processes, and standardisation. The module is enriched by a hands-on printing exercise, exemplary applications, expert talks from industry, and field trips.

This module covers Aviation Safety Principles, Basics in Regulations, Airworthiness Code (CS-27, CS-29), Loads, Stress & Fatigue, Performance Categories, Safety Analysis & Flight Accident Investigation. During the presentation of the basic chapters of flight safety and certification the students have the possibility to discuss the important aspects together with the professor. The module covers following chapters such as Aviation Safety Principles, Basics in Regulations Airworthiness Code (CS-27, CS-29), Loads, Stress and Fatigue, Performance Categories, Safety Analysis, and Flight Accident Investigation.

Fees

The fee for each participant per module is SGD 2,398 (GST inclusive).

Registration closes one week prior to the module start date. Payment must be completed before the module begins.

For a limited time, TUM Asia offers preferential pricing for multiple module or group sign-ups*:

  • 2 modules: 10% discount
  • 3 modules: 15% discount
  • 4 or more modules: 20% discount

*Companies can combine module choices for group discounts. For instance, if two employees from the same organisation each sign up for 2 modules (totaling 4), a 20% discount applies. Discounts are valid only if all modules are paid for together in a single invoice. Contact us to learn more.

TUM and TUM Asia alumni can apply their alumni course credits of SGD 1,500 to cover up to 50% of the module fees. Terms and conditions apply.
