BACKGROUND

Sudeekshna Vijayaraghavan is a Ph.D. candidate at Technical University of Munich (TUM) since October 2024. Her research focuses on rail maintenance planning through data analytics and machine learning, aiming to optimize predictive maintenance strategies. By identifying the right time for maintenance interventions, her work helps minimize maintenance costs and reduce the risk of failures. She is currently working under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stephan Freudenstein (TUM), with mentorship from Dr.-Ing. Bernhard Lechner, co-supervision by Assoc. Prof. Zhu Feng (NTU), and under the guidance of Dr.-Ing. Andreas Rau. Sudeekshna holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Kumaraguru College of Technology, India. She later completed her Master of Science in Rail Transport and Logistics at TUM Asia (Technical University of Munich Asia), Singapore.
