are:<\/p><ul><li>Studying microbial molecular ecologies using high-throughput sequencing methods, including 16S-rRNA gene amplicon seq, RNAseq, RIBOseq and alike.<\/li><li>Cultivation and description of novel species from various host organisms.<\/li><li>Evolution of novel and overlapping genes, allowing bacteria to adapt to novel niches.<\/li><li>Bacteria-bacteria and and bacteria-host communication.<\/li><\/ul><p>Privately, he enjoys the wonders of the insects, especially of ants and
