class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Prof. Antoniou holds a degree in civil engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (1995) as well as a master\u2019s degree in transportation (1997) and a PhD in transportation systems (2004) from MIT. He has authored more than 250 scientific publications, including more than 70 papers in international, peer-reviewed journals, 170 published in international conference proceedings, a book and 15 book chapters. He is a member of several professional and scientific organizations, editorial boards (incl. Transportation Research \u2013 Part C: Emerging Technologies und Journal of Intelligent Transportation Systems) and committees (incl. Secretary of the User Information Systems Committee (AND20) of the TRB).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-1e79db42 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"1e79db42\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7950fab elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"7950fab\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">RESEARCH INTERESTS<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-265d2e74 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"265d2e74\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The research area of Constantinos Antoniou (b. 1973) is transportation systems engineering. His research focuses primarily on the modelling and simulation of transportation systems, intelligent transport systems (ITS), the calibration and optimization of applications, and the application of behavioral economics in transport, road safety and sustainable transport systems.
