TUM tops the table: Global Employability University Rankings 2014

Technische Universität München (TUM) achieved eighth place in the ranking table, cementing its excellent reputation as an educational institute for young academics who are much sought after in international job markets. The ranking is based on a survey of almost 5,000 HR managers and employers from industry and commerce in 20 different countries. The most recent results have been published in The New York Timesand The Telegraph

Cambridge (GB), Harvard (US) and Yale (US) take the top three spots, followed by Oxford (GB), CalTech (US), MIT (US), Stanford (US), TUM (D), Princeton (US) and Tokyo (JP). Last year, TUM came in eleventh place in the ranking.

There are three more German schools in the top 50: University of Heidelberg (31st place), Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main (46th place) and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU, 50th place).

The Global Employability Ranking is created and published annually by Paris-based HR consultancy Emerging, in cooperation with trendence Institut GmbH in Berlin, a research institute specializing in employer branding, personnel marketing and recruiting.
