TUM Asia

Academic Excellence

TUM Asia leverages on the highest academic standards to equip its students with the skills and training necessary to overcome the challenges of the industry. All applicants undergo rigorous screening by the Programme Management Committee after which TUM Asia welcomes successful candidates for an eighteen-month accelerated program of scientific training, practical research, and cultural enrichment.

Study with renowned lecturers including Nobel Laureates, the President of TUM, and Deans and Professors of TUM, NUS and NTU. In contrast to the practice of teleteaching, all international lecturers are engaged on an exclusive basis for the lecture period in Asia. It is only here in TUM Asia that students have direct and intimate contact with their instructors in small classes of between 15 – 25 students in each of our Master programmes.

At TUM Asia I teach students from Asia and Europe who are carefully chosen for their ability and educational background. Their excitement for the area that I teach is motivating, and gives me great pleasure as well. What makes TUM Asia special is really the fun of teaching. Personal relationships are reinforced in free time outside the lectures.

The 18 months programme is carefully structured to provide students with academic knowledge and practical skills. 10 months of coursework is followed by 2 months internship and six months master thesis. Cross-Discipline modules enrich the curriculum with focus on business administration, leadership training, and legal aspects. The Master programmes are conducted exclusively in English.

In my opinion, the deciding factor to enroll in TUM Asia are the job opportunities available upon graduation. Professors and industry lecturers prepare students well for leading positions. You have excellent prospects: in Asia, in Germany or anywhere else in the world!
